Working together to keep us all safe – Coronavirus (Covid-19)

You would have to be living under a rock not to have heard about the Coronavirus aka COVID-19 aka the Novel Coronavirus. We take the health and well-being of our clients, tenants, tradespeople and staff very seriously. As property managers, we deal closely with a wide range of people in many environments and the current situation has prompted us to consider how we can best keep each other safe from infection.

From current WHO and Health Department recommendations we have developed a COVID-19 Health Policy that asks clients, tenants, tradespeople and our team to understand and adhere to the following:

Feeling sick? Stay home!

Common sense, right?

If you are sick, the Health Department tells us not to go to public places, such as work, school, shopping centres, childcare or university – in our case: The Paddington Realty Office.

As always, our office is open by appointment only, but if you do need to come and see us, please do not come to our office if you have any one or a combination of the following complaints:

  • flu-like symptoms
  • fever
  • runny nose
  • cough
  • shortness of breath
  • sore throat.

If we need to chat face to face, please give us a call on 9297 2960 and we can provide you with a Whatsapp number for a video chat.

Need to pick up keys? It’s ok – we have alternative procedures in place collection of property keys for new tenancies and for maintenance.

Once you are back on your feet and your symptoms have resolved we look forward to making an appointment with you and seeing you in our office again!

We don’t want to put ANYONE at risk!

Our job involves people management just as much as property management.

So that we can best keep each other safe from infection, please let us know as soon as practical, if you or anyone in your home;

  • is sick and have any one or a combination of the above symptoms
  • has been in contact with anybody who is being tested for, OR has been confirmed positive with COVID-19
  • has been tested for, OR has been confirmed positive with COVID-19
  • has been overseas in the 14 days prior to our team OR our tradespeople coming to your home
  • becomes sick with any one or a combination of the above symptoms, OR is tested for, OR has been confirmed positive with COVID-19 following a visit to your home by our team OR our tradespeople

Please bear with us as there may be delays with maintenance and inspections that are out of our hands – our priority is keeping each other safe from infection.

If necessary, routine inspections can be rescheduled, alternative arrangements for maintenance access can be made, and home opens can be held via video call to prospective tenants.

We will return to normal programming once everyone in your home has been cleared and free of any of the above symptoms.

We are putting precautions in place here at Paddington Realty so that the normal course of business may continue as usual. We have a plan in place in case we need to work remotely with minimal disruption.

The situation is continually evolving and we will continue to update you if our COVID-19 Health Policy changes.
